The 2010 All Islands Art Show will open on Saturday, February 13, 7:00 pm at the Haida Gwaii Museum at Kaay Llnagaay Heritage Centre.

The show will close on Friday, March 19.  On the closing night the show “TEXTured: The Literary Closing for the All-Islands Art Show” will be presented by the QCI Arts Council. Share your text-based inspiration on the closing night of the All-Islands Art Show. We’d love to hear from you in song, poems, dramatic monologues, essays, stories, rap, or any other form of word-based art you can come up with. Your words can be inspired by specific pieces, relate to art in general, or delve into the art show’s theme, “Energy.” Join us at 7pm on March 19 at the Haida Gwaii Museum for this celebration of words. All are welcome and if you can, please bring an appetizer or dessert to share.

This is your last chance to see this year’s amazing display of Islands artists too. Contact Heather at 559-0093 for more information.

Entry to the show will be free to the public.  Please consider contributing to the museum to help defray the costs of holding this event; a donation jar will be available, and the purchase of an annual museum membership would be of benefit both to the museum and to the art show visitor (for entry to other events at the Heritage Centre).

The 2010 Art Show is being coordinated by the Haida Gwaii Museum, assisted by Betsy Cardell for the QCI Arts Council.
